Rita Mae Berg LEIPSIC – Rita Mae Berg, 86, of Leipsic, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born March 6, 1938, in Columbus Grove to the late Oscar and Louise (Bishop) Busick. On October 22, 1955, she married Bernard L. Berg, who preceded her in death on February 19, 2024. She is survived by two children:  Richard (Mary Ann) Berg of Deshler and David (Jane) Berg of Lima; seven grandchildren: Joshua Berg, Jacob (Audrey) Berg, Jeremy (Tessa) Berg, Amy (Angel Luna) Berg, Justin Berg, Dana (Jeremy) Welker and Mathew Berg; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two children: Tamara and Douglas Berg; and two siblings: Janice (William) Dodge and Charles (Adella) Busick. Rita was a homemaker. She previously worked for the Leipsic IGA for many years. Rita was a member of Leipsic United Methodist Church, Leipsic. She loved creating crafts and painting ceramics. Rita loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Laurie Beaty officiating.  Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.
