Rita C. Langhals

Columbus Grove -- Rita C. Langhals, 87, of Columbus Grove died 7:35 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Meadows of Kalida.  She was born July 20, 1928 in Leipsic to the late Ferd T. and Margaret (Kaufman) Niese.  On October 11, 1950 she married Bernard J. Langhals, who preceded her in death October 17, 1995.

Rita is survived by her 4 sons: Anthony (Joanie) Langhals of Jacksonville, FL, Timothy Langhals of Cedar Rapids, IA, Stephen (Diana) Langhals of Ottawa, and Paul Langhals of Colorado; 3 grandsons: Rodney (Lisa) Langhals of Ottawa, Randy (Alicia) Langhals of Kalida, and Jarred (Cassie) Langhals of Florida; 2 great-grandchildren: Alayna Diane Langhals and Levi Steven Langhals, 3 sisters-in-law: Frances Niese of Ottawa, Ruth Niese of Leipsic, and Helen Niese of Lima.

She is preceded in death by 4 brothers: Charles, Wilbert, Donald and Henry Niese.

Rita was a homemaker, a farmer and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and its Altar Rosary Society.  She graduated from Leipsic High School in 1945.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, with Father Mark Hoying officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where an Altar Rosary Society Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
