Robert L. "Bingo Bob" Ellerbrock
Ottawa -- Robert L. "Bingo Bob" Ellerbrock, 85, died 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Meadows of Putnam Acres, Ottawa.  He was born July 26, 1928 in Ottawa to the late John and Frances (Schroeder) Ellerbrock.  On September 3, 1960 he married Lucille "LuLu" Pohlman, who preceded him in death on June 29, 1972.  He then married Imogene A. Pohlman on April 5, 1975.  She survives in Ottawa.
He is also survived by his 2 sons:  Byron (Jill) Ellerbrock of Ottawa, Todd Ellerbrock of Elida; and a daughter:  Marie Moreno of Mansfield;  7 wonderful grandchildren:  Ryan (Meli) Moreno, Jeremy Moreno, Gerell Spence, Tonia Spence, Diante' Marshall, Niki Ellerbrock and Jamie Ellerbrock; 10 wonderful great-grandchildren;  a brother:  Harold (Doris) Ellerbrock of Ottawa; 4 sisters:  Berte Ruhe of Glandorf,  Delores Bockrath of Kalida, Betty Smith of Leipsic and Jane (Norbert) Bockrath of Glandorf;  a sister-in-law:  Therese Ellerbrock of Leipsic; and a ton of nieces and nephews!
He is also survived by his deceased wife's family:  Melvin (Rita Mae) Pohlman of Delphos, Ronald (Joan) Pohlman of Ottawa, Sally Looser of Defiance, Rita (Norbert) Suever of Landeck, Patricia (Mel) Williams of Lima; and his current wife's sister:  Ethel Schwinnen of Landeck
Robert is preceded in death by a son-in-law:  Paul Moreno; 3 brothers:  Jim, Karl and Andrew Ellerbrock; a sister:  Margret Kerner; 4 brothers-in-law:  Len Bockrath, Jim Smith, Cletus Kerner and Tom Ruhe; a sister-in-law:  Alvina Ellerbrock; the deceased members of his first wife's family:  Gilbert Pohlman, Jane and John Ricker, Delores and Eugene Meyer, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law:  Alphonse and Adeline Pohlman; and the deceased members of his current wife:  Rosie and Hubert Noonan, Eleanor and Lavern Wannemacher, Richard (Hanse) Schwinnen, Rosie and Arthur Pohlman, Earl and Esther Pohlman and his father-in-law and mother-in-law:  Otto and Cora Pohlman.
Bob was a dairy farmer until he retired and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa where he served on the advisory board for one term.  He served as Director and Board Member for the Federal Land Bank for 12 years.  H also worked part-time as a paper inserter for the Putnam County Sentinel.
Bob was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, Ottawa where he was Grand Knight for four terms, a fourth degree member serving as a Faithful Navigator for one term and also a District Deputy for the Knights of Columbus for the Toledo Diocese.  As a member of the Knights of Columbus he worked chicken fries and managed the K of C bingo for 12 years, earning his nickname "Bingo Bob."
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Matt Jozefiak officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where a Knights of  Columbus rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m.
