Robert J. "Bob" Langhals

OTTAWA – Bob Langhals, 81, of Ottawa, passed away at 12:41 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born August 12, 1940, in Columbus Grove to the late John and Clara (Schroeder) Langhals.  On September 21, 1963, he married Joan Schiffli, she survives in Ottawa.

Bob is also survived by twelve siblings: Doris Schumaker of Columbus Grove, Agnes (Herb) Schumaker of The Villages, FL., John Langhals, Sam (Renee) Langhals, both of Glandorf, Beatrice (Jerry) Agner of Marion, Mark (Phyllis) Langhals of Alva, FL., Karen (Dan) Wander of Danville, Phyllis (Steve) Croy of Houston, TX., Theresa (Dale) Rosengarten of Glandorf, Michael (Pam) Langhals of Ottawa, Patrick (Joan) Langhals of Glandorf, and Martin (Lois) Langhals of Lima.

He is preceded in death by three brothers: Nick, Virgil, and Daniel Langhals.

Bob was a member of the Ottawa Eagles, VFW, and American Legion. He had owned and established Big Daddy's Bar and Carryout.  He had formerly worked for Hovest Construction.  Bob had retired as a truck driver for Wenham Transportation.

A Memorial Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
