Robert "Bob" Diller
Glandorf – Robert "Bob" Diller, 52, of Glandorf passed away at his residence 1:12 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012 surrounded by his loving family, after enduring many medical trials including diabetes, cancer and Lou Gehrigs (ALS). He was born December 9, 1959 in Bluffton to Dave and Mary (Stemen) Diller. They survive in Columbus Grove. On June 4, 1983, he married Cathy Schroeder who survives in Glandorf.
Also surviving are his children: Brent Diller and Brooke Diller both at home; 3 brothers: Mike (Chris) Diller of Columbus Grove, Randy (Mary) Diller of Ft. Recovery and Jon (Lisa) Diller of Columbus Grove. Bob is also preceded in death by a sister, Dalene Diller.
Bob was an accountant and plant controller for UNARCO Material and Handling Inc., Pandora. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and member of the Christ Renews His Parish "CRHP" number 4 and member of Ottawa Knights of Columbus. Bob was an avid bowler and holds the Putnam County record for all events in the Putnam County Bowling Tournaments. Throughout all his pain and suffering, he was still a shining light for God. With his positive attitude, he constantly expressed, "I am blessed".
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
