FORT JENNINGS – Robert L. Good, 86, of Fort Jennings, died at 8:11 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 12, 1926 in Putnam County to the late Louis L. and Dorothy (Derwort) Good. On November 25, 1948, he married Alma A. Krietemeyer and she survives in Fort Jennings.
Also surviving are 9 children: Ginnie (Chuck) Hellman of Delphos, Dale (Mary Ann) Good of Fort Jennings, Don (Christy) Good of Fort Jennings, Barb (Bill) Grothouse of Delphos, Mary Ann (Robert) Garber of Delphos, Jodi (Howard) Rellinger of Kalida, Jackie (Jesse) Clay of Fort Jennings, Doug (Karen) Good of Cincinnati and Dan (Angie) Good of Fort Jennings; 26 grandchildren: Denise and Anthony Parks, Lisa and Dax Gigante,
Sherrie and DJ Looser, David Good, Craig Good, Kevin and Gina Good, Michael and Stacy Good, Sarah Good, Tristan and Alyssa Tagliapietra, Trinity Tagliapietra, Talia Tagliapietra, Nikki and Ryan Conley,Ryan and Kelsey Grothouse, Kelly Grothouse, Nathan and Kristi Garber, Jamie and Travis Wilson, Brian and Melanie Rellinger, Bruce and Maria Rellinger, Brad and Kim Rellinger, Amy Clay, Stephanie Clay, Gina Clay, Jacob Good, Joshua Good, Tyler Good, and Marisa Good; 19 Great-grandchildren: Lauren, Lindsey, Noah, Chandler, Ella, Gia, Kyle, Adam, Ryan, Abigail, Alyssa, Lily, Henry, Attley, Brayden, Maddy, Mya, Lane, and Evan.
Bob retired as owner/operator of A & G Cash Register in Lima and had also owned the former Jennings Home Store in Fort Jennings. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings where he had been on the church council. He was a WWII Navy veteran and member of the Fort Jennings American Legion and Ottoville VFW. He retired from the Fort Jennings Volunteer Fire Dept; served on Town Council and was a member of Delphos Eagles and Delphos Country Club where he was an avid golfer. He enjoyed following the Cleveland Indians and loved playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Fort Jennings American Legion and Ottoville VFW. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday and 2 to 8 pm Wednesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (on the corner of Rts. 224 & 634) and one hour prior to service Thursday at church. There will be a firemen's service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, a scripture service at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, and an American Legion service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, all at the funeral home.
