Robert L. Hobkirk

FORT JENNINGS - Robert L. Hobkirk, 76, of Ft. Jennings died 11;43 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2018 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born October 6, 1941 in Osage, Iowa to the late Lee and Gladys (Carter) Hobkirk. On May 8, 1998 he married Jeannie Mathew and she survives in Ft Jennings.

Also surviving are four children: Lisa (Kirk) Emerson, Mike (Suzie) Hobkirk, LaVonne (Pat) Wolfe, and Mark Hobkirk, all of Iowa and stepson T.J. Mathew of Fresno, California; one brother: Don (Eunice) Hobkirk of Gainsville, TX, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bob was a graduate of Osage High School, and had retired from New Idea in Coldwater, Ohio. He previously worked at Oliver Corporation in Charles City, IA until its closure. He enjoyed collecting toy farm tractors and loved going to the dirt track races at Eldora.

Family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
