Robert G. “Bob” Kohls

OTTOVILLE – Robert G. “Bob” Kohls, 73, of Ottoville, passed away at 12:37 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2026, at his residence. He was born September 4, 1953, in Lima to the late Robert and Marilyn (Dukes) Kohls. On May 29, 1976, he married Margaret Wurth, who survives in Ottoville.

Other survivors include four children: Ryan Kohls of Ottoville, Megan (Chris) Bishop of Ottawa, Nathan (Jackie) Kohls of Fort Jennings and Jennifer Kohls of Ottoville; three grandchildren: Mason, Jayden and Gavin Kohls; three siblings: Susan Brinkman of Lima, Connie Miller and Pat Kohls, both of Kalida; a sister-in-law, Gwyn Kohls of Continental; a brother-in-law, Kenn Brinkman of Kalida; and in-laws: Robin Wurth, Terry (Gene) Dickman, both of Kalida, Denise (Hans) Schwaiger of Alaska, Mark (Tammy) Wurth of Kalida, Brenda (Ken) Hermiller of Miller City, Glen (Kelly) Wurth of Kalida, Brian Wurth, Chris (Sandy) Wurth, Myra (Steve) Fersch, all of Kalida and Gina (Angel) Wurth-Lopez of Delaware, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter “Butch” (Dianna) Kohls; a brother-in-law, Tom Miller; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edna and Richard Wurth; and in-law, Rick Wurth.

Bob retired from Hearthside, McComb. He enjoyed socializing with “his girls” at the Express Mart in Ottoville. He was a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes fan and whined about the Cleveland Indians and Browns. Bob loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandboys.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Fort Jennings Rec Club in the Fort Jennings Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CHP Hospice, Ottoville EMS, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
