Robert Kruse
OTTAWA – Robert T. Kruse, 80, of Ottawa died surrounded by his family at 12:47 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012 at his residence. He was born January 12, 1932 in Ottawa to the late Virgil and Emma (Ellerbrock) Kruse. His stepmother: Helen (Conn) Kruse is also deceased.  On February 15, 1958, he married Betty Horstman and she survives in Ottawa.  Also surviving are 5 children: Janel (Dave Hersey) Kruse of Findlay, Mark (Diana) Kruse of Blacklick, Dale (Laura) Kruse of Ottawa, Diane (Pete) Cornish of Kapolei, HI and Sharon (Steve) Teffenhardt of Ottawa; 8 grandchildren: Jamie Kruse, Kim Kruse, Michelle Kruse, Jeanna Kruse, Nathan Kruse, Alex Teffenhardt, Nicole Teffenhardt, John Teffenhardt and a brother: Eugene (Carol) Kruse of Ottawa. He was preceded in death also by a sister: Mary Lou Schroeder.
Bob was co-founder and former General Manager of Ottawa Oil Co.  He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He was a life member of the Ottawa VFW and American Legion.  He was a 1950 graduate of Sts Peter & Paul High School and a 1954 graduate of The Ohio State University.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak and Fr. Len Kistler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa VFW and American Legion.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 2:30 p.m. and a VFW service at 7:00 p.m.
