Robert F. Lammers
OTTOVILLE - Robert F. Lammers, 82, of Ottoville, died at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born June 8, 1932 in New Cleveland to the late Waldo and Philomena (Schmitt) Lammers. On May 30, 1980 he married Lucille (Kemper) Wittler and she survives in Ottoville.
Also surviving are 3 stepchildren: Doyle (Doris) Wittler of Ft. Jennings, Carol (David) Giesken of Ottoville, and Marilyn (Rodney Oiler) Allen of Napoleon; 9 step grandchildren: Jeffrey (Joan) Wittler, Laura (Michael) Hutt, Scott (Jennifer) Wittler, Tricia (Aaron) Halker, Nichole Giesken, Melissa (Anthony) Herron, Tracey (Jeremy) Bloomfield, Jason (Brittany) Allen, and Jennifer Allen; 12 step great-grandchildren: Ryan Wittler, Connor Wittler, Summer Wittler, Erin Hutt, Ava Wittler, Lauryn Halker, Jacob Halker, Cole Giesken, Kiersten Herron, Mikala Bloomfield, Zoey Bloomfiled, and Arianna Protner; a brother: Ron Lammers of Ottawa; and 2 sisters: Rita (Bernard) Ziegler of Deshler and Rosemary (Bob) Schroeder of Leipsic. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Rosali Korte and Ruth Ziegler.
Robert retired in 1991 after 37 1/2 years at Philips ECG, formerly of Ottawa. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and the Ottawa Knights of Columbus. He was a life member of the Ottawa Eagles and a former member of the Leipsic Senior Citizens. Robert loved to play bingo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Fr. Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ft. Jennings. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township where there will be a K of C rosary at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
