Robert F. Stevens

OAKWOOD – Robert F. Stevens, 79, of Oakwood, died 7:57 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at his daughter's residence.  He was born August 2, 1943 in Adelphi, Ohio to the late Robert and Mabel (Unger) Stevens. On November 8, 1969, he married Kathy Leach and she survives in Oakwood.

Other survivors include two children:  Kelly (Shawn) Kruse of Oakwood, Stacey (Brice) Travis of Continental; two grandchildren: Dakota and Delaney Porter; and two brothers: Michael Stevens of Coloma, MI and David Stevens of Lancaster.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Lucas Stevens; and two brothers: Ralph and Jim Stevens.

Robert worked at Braun Industries, General Dynamics, Leaders Engineering and retired from Diamond Power in 2007. Robert was a welding instructor for Eastland-Fairfield  Career and Technical Schools, Columbus. He was a member of the Defiance Eagles and Junction City American Legion. Robert enjoyed being the "early bird coffee maker" at the Landing Strip, Oakwood.

Funeral Service will begin 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor Jimmy Hiltner officiating. Visitation will be from 4 – 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
