Robert Eugene Warren, Sr.

OTTAWA - Robert Eugene Warren, Sr., 94, of Ottawa, died 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. He was born November 2, 1921 in Lima to the late John Franklin and Luella Irene (Jewell) Warren. He had been married to Monica Heide who died April 15, 1994. On July 6, 1985 he married Delores Purney and she survives in Toledo.

Also surviving are five children: Sheryl Leopold of Charlotte, NC, Heide Warren of San Marcos, CA, Michele "Micki" (John) Cox, Robert "Bur" (Annette) Warren, and John "Fred" (Kay) Warren all of Ottawa; two step-daughters: Kathy Ramos and Laura Purney both of Toledo; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son: George Franklin Warren; a step-son: Peter Purney; a sister: Madeleine Ingmire; and a son-in-law: Richard Leopold.

Bob co-founded, along with his wife Monica, Warren Printing Office Products in Ottawa and was a US Navy veteran of WWII.  He was a graduate of Ottawa High School and a member of the American Legion, VFW, DAV, and Kiwanis, all of Ottawa, the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and the Leipsic Eagles.

A private Graveside Service will be held in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ottawa with  Pastor Lynda Lockwood officiating. Military rites by the Ottawa American Legion, VFW, and AMVETS will follow the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ottawa American Legion Post #63 Baseball Program.
