Robert Eugene Young
LEIPSIC - Robert Eugene Young, 84, of Leipsic died at his residence on Thursday, October 11, 2013, surrounded by his family. Bob was born December 20, 1928 in Detroit, MI to Eugene and Ethel (Marme) Young. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his only sister, June Fridline.
Bob is survived by his lovely wife of nearly 63 years, Alice E. Dice whom he married December 9, 1950. He is also survived by 6 children: Karl (Lorianna) Young of Wisconsin, Marylou Arquette of Michigan, Mitch (Carol) Young of Ohio, Mike (Patti) Young of Iowa, Mark (Tammie Elkins) Young of Ohio, and Kevin (Angela) Young of Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1956 as a Sergeant 1st class. He retired from BOC of Fostoria as distribution superintendent in 1988. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME,  Leipsic with Rev. Marshall Metzger officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery with military rites by the Leipsic American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.
