RODNEY THOMAS
OAKWOOD - Rodney Thomas, 56 of Oakwood died 2:31 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance. He was born May 27, 1956 in Paulding to the late Clarence and Laura (Shafer) Thomas.
Surviving include his daughter Shelby (Peter) Cully of Bowling Green; 4 grandchildren: Mikayla, Kaitlyn, Morgan and Kylie; 2 brothers: Henry (Kay) Thomas and Daniel (Brenda) Thomas both of Oakwood; and a sister, Ellen Bird of Continental.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Carl bird.
Mr. Thomas was an antique dealer. He enjoyed garage sales, flea markets and dealing with people. He had an uncanny ability to make something out of nothing. He attended Dupont Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Dupont Church of the Brethren, Dupont with Rev. Terry Porter. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.
