Roger Allen Fackler
LEIPSIC – Roger Allen Fackler, 68, of Leipsic, passed away at 1:50 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2024, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born May 6, 1955, in Marion Township to Albert Henry and Margaret (Wilson) Fackler. On May 20, 1995, he married Patricia Boesel, who survives in Leipsic.
Other survivors include two daughters: Jennifer (Noe) Hernandez and Amy (Matthew Moss) Fackler, both of Leipsic; two stepdaughters: Kim (Ron) Hackworth and Wendy (Reuben) Baggett; eight grandchildren: Elijah Fackler, Arashel Fackler, Elias Kelly, Carson Hernandez, Arabella Kelly, Eliam Moss, Aralyn Moss and Amariah Moss; seven step grandchildren: Sonny Olivo, Sebastion Hernandez, Adam (Kylie) Ziegler, Brett (Taylor) Ziegler, Logan (Alexandria) Ziegler, Alex (Morgan) Hoops and Brock (Jai-lyn) Hoops; six step great-grandchildren: Skylar Olivo, Nova Duling, Jurnee Hernandez, Oliver Ziegler, Layton Ziegler and Lawson Hoops; two siblings: Albert (Judy) Fackler and Wayne (Pat) Fackler, both of Leipsic; and a brother-in-law, Bob Balbaugh.
He was also preceded in death by two siblings: Janet Balbaugh and Joyce Merritt.
Roger worked for Metal Forge then went on to work for Hearthside in McComb, retiring in 2021. He enjoyed riding his golf cart, working in the garage and tinkering with things. He had so many talents. Roger loved working on anything but was never satisfied with his finished product, always pointing out what he "should have" done, although what he did was always perfect and beautiful. He could fix anything that needed fixing and build anything no matter how big or small. If you gave him an idea, he made it reality. Roger was a family man, always making sure his family had what they needed and loved spoiling his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his grand fur babies. He always made funny faces at his grandchildren, making them laugh. Now they make funny faces to "look like grandpa." Roger was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 26, 2024 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Chris Walter officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Township Cemetery, Hamler.
