OAKWOOD - Rollin F. Bullinger, 84 of Oakwood died 4:42 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice. He was born February 21, 1932 in Junction to the late Thomas and Emma (Clark) Bullinger. On November 22, 1951, he married Mary Lou Carder. She died May 19, 2014.
Survivors include a daughter: LaCinda (William) Price of Oakwood; two sons: Anthony Bullinger (Lori Tate) and Rollin J. Bullinger both of Oakwood; nine grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son: Leroy F. Bullinger; a great-grandson: J. Bug Mitchell Bullinger; four brothers: Raymond, Richard, Russell and Robert Bullinger; and five sisters: Margaret Finn, Madonna Amato, Melvena Myers, Mary DiSanze and May Elizabeth Ricker.
Rollin retired from Stonco after 44 years. He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale, Grover Hill VFW and Bryan Eagles. Rollin was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2016 at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale with The Very Reverend Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in Sherman Cemetery, Oakwood with military rites by Grover Hill VFW. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday and 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 am until the time of service Thursday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.
Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's research.
