Ronald A. Ellerbrock

Leipsic – Ronald A. Ellerbrock, 71, of Leipsic, died 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at The Meadows of Leipsic. He was born January 21, 1945 in Leipsic to the late Victor and Laura (Kleman) Ellerbrock. On July 10, 1965 he married Carol Shoemaker who survives in Leipsic.

Ronald is survived by four children: Shane (Melissa) Ellerbrock of Leipsic, Chad (Jaylene) Ellerbrock of Glandorf, Brad (Becky) Ellerbrock of Ottawa, Meisha (Eric) Kreinbrink of Tipp City; eleven grandchildren; five siblings: Lou Ann Langhals of Columbus Grove, Rita (Ottie) Schroeder of Leipsic, Teresa (Jim) Potts of McComb, Pat (Tom) Christman of Leipsic, and Den (Judy) Ellerbrock of Leipsic.

He was preceded in death by a son: Brent Ellerbrock; a brother: Virgil Ellerbrock; and a sister: Rosemary Morman.

Ronald was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, and was a Eucharistic minister. He retired from General Motors after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Ottawa Knights of Columbus, Leipsic Eagles, and a Leipsic VFW social member. Ronald was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt, enjoyed going for car rides, taking grandchildren on golf cart rides, and visiting Amish Country.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. William Pifher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic, as well as an hour prior to mass at the parish life center.  A K of C rosary will be Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. and a scripture service will be held Thursday at 1:45 p.m.
