Ronald G. Setser

OTTAWA -- Ronald G. Setser, 71, of Ottawa died 2:47 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2020, at his residence.  He was born November 10, 1948, in Ypsilanti, MI to the late John and Cora (Pelphrey) Setser.  On July 23, 1993, he married Jean Busser, who survives in Ottawa.

Also surviving are 5 children:  Nonni Setser and Adrian Setser, both of Fostoria, Sarah Setser of Sharpsville, PA, Tim Fowler of Huntington, WV and Kate Wiggeringloh of Knoxville, TN; 3 grandsons:  Ronald Norris, Jacob Fowler and Seth Fowler; a great-grandson:  Skylar Norris; 2 step-children:  Doug Hughes and Fran Haudenshild; 2 sisters:  Janet (Hanners) Crain and Kathryn (Setser) Alexander, both of Utica; and best friend:  Joe VanDenEynde.

Ron is preceded in death by a step-daughter:  Tami Hughes; a brother:  Henry "Bud" Hanners; and 2 sisters:  Helen Hanners and his twin sister, Barbara Nivison.

Ron retired from Cooper Tire, Findlay and in retirement he worked for various other local businesses.  He was a graduate of Findlay High School.  He enjoyed classic cars, music of all kinds, watching westerns and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
