Ronald Howard Shank

OTTAWA - Ronald Howard Shank, 79, of Ottawa died 12:17 p.m. Saturday,  February 19, 2022 at CareCore of Lima.  He was born March 9, 1942 to the late Richard and Velma (Keesler) Shank.  He was formerly married to Linda Bracy Shank.  Then he was formerly married to Jill Schroeder.

He is survived by 7 children:  Rhonda (Matt) Rone, Ronette (Louis) Carter, Paul (Kelly) Shank, Kali (Matt) Shank, Kelsi Shank, Kameron Shank and Kevin Shank; a son-in-law:  Gary Baughman; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; 2 brothers:  Larry (Rogena) Shank and Jim Shank and a sister:  Sharon (Steve) Bertolet.

He was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Robin Baughman and Kerri Shank; a brother:  Ralph Shank and a brother and sister-in-law:  Russell (Sharon) Shank.

The family would like to thank the CareCore of Lima staff and Interim Hospice for the love and care during Ronald's last days.

Ronald's funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Pastor Denny Coates officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Township Cemetery, Kalida.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
