Ronald E. Von Lehmden

FORT JENNINGS - Ronald E. Von Lehmden, 63, of Fort Jennings died  Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at his residence. He was born April 12, 1952, in Lima to Alvin and Rita (Stechschulte) Von Lehmden.  Both preceded him in death.  On August 4, 1973 he married Mary H. Schroeder who survives in Fort Jennings.  Ron and Mary had just celebrated 42 wonderful years of marriage.

He was a 1970 graduate of Fort Jennings High School. He was a millwright at General Motors in Defiance for 38 years.  He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Fort Jennings, Delphos Eagles, Kalida Fish and Game, and Pheasants Forever.  He enjoyed hunting, golfing, riding his Harley, and visiting with his family.

Survivors include one son: Keith (Terri) Von Lehmden of Frisco, Texas; one daughter: Lisa (Chris) Zidek of Avon; and three grandsons: Caleb and Seth Von Lehmden and Bradley Zidek.

He is also survived by three brothers: Doyle (Joyce) Von Lehmden, Duane (Rebecca) Von Lehmden, and Kim (Yolanda) Von Lehmden all of Fort Jennings; and a sister-in-law: Joann (Mel) Nomina of Glandorf.  He was preceded in death by a brother: Eugene (Yogi) Von Lehmden.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Jennings. Father Mark Hoying will officiate. The burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fort Jennings. Friends and family may call on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township, Fort Jennings, with a parish wake at 1:30 p.m. and one hour prior to the mass on Saturday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Cemetery, Fort Jennings.
