ROSE MARY HORSTMAN
CLOVERDALE - Rose Mary Horstman, 89, of Cloverdale died 12:01 a.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013 at The Meadows of Kalida.
She was born October 24, 1923 in Kalida, to the late William F. and Amelia (Siefker) Leopold. On November 28, 1946 she married Arthur H. Horstman, who died October 9, 1998.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Mary Jane (Kenneth) Palte, of New Cleveland, Dr. Anna Horstman (Joseph Recker) of Glandorf, and Barbara (Steve) Verhoff of Kalida; 4 sons: Paul (Mary Jane) Horstman of Ottoville, James (Ruth) Horstman of Cloverdale, Richard (Judy) Horstman of Houston, TX, and Thomas Horstman of Cloverdale; 26 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 sister: Jane Leopold of Kalida; and 1 sister-in-law, Marilyn Leopold of Kalida.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William J. Leopold.
Rose Mary dedicated her life to her family. She was a member of St Barbara's Catholic Church, Cloverdale and its Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was also a former council member for the Village of Cloverdale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at St. Barbara's Catholic Church, Cloverdale with Fr. John Stites officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (Corner of 224 & 634). Scripture Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. and a Rosary Altar rosary and CL of C service follow at 2:30 p.m.
