Rose Mary “Rosie” Rieman
LEIPSIC - Rose Mary “Rosie” Rieman, 91 of Leipsic, died at 7:49 p.m. on April 30, 2026 at The Meadows of Leipsic surrounded by her family. She was born in Putnam County on May 29, 1934 to the late Philip and Esther (Kuhlman) Lammers. On November 13, 1957, she married Rudolph Rieman and he passed away on July 5, 1998.
She is survived by two children: Dale (Nancy) Rieman of Findlay, Greg (Kathy) Rieman of Leipsic; seven grandchildren: Jason (Kayla) Rieman, Justin (Sarah) Rieman, and Brittany (Garicyn) Schnipke, Ashley (Isaac) Krinke, Rachel (Dylan) Schey, Lindsey (Hunter Meyer) Rieman, and Cole (Kierra Meyer) Rieman; four step-grandchildren: Charles Kelbey, Brian (Jillian) Kelbey, Angela (Andrew) Fout, and Loretta (Andrew) Lichter; nineteen great-grandchildren; two siblings: Helen Gerding of Kalida and Jerry (Ginger) Lammers of New Cleveland; sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Lammers of Glandorf, Esther Lammers of Leipsic; a brother-in-law, Doug (Shirley) Aukerman of Findlay; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Blankemeyer of Greenville, South Carolina.
She was also preceded in death by a son: Gary Rieman; three brothers: Leon, Melvin, and Elmer Lammers; two sisters: Rita Jane Hermiller, Alice Aukerman; five brothers-in-law: James Gerding, Bill Hermiller, Karl Rieman, James Rieman, James Blankemeyer; and two sisters-in-law: Teresa Rieman and Margie Rieman.
Rose Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland.
Rose Mary retired from Bennett’s Furniture in McComb, but also worked at Cadillac Glass in McComb and Egry Supply in Leipsic. She was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed gambling, playing cards, and loved to attend her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a member of the Golden Steppers.
A special thank you is given to The Meadows of Leipsic staff for the wonderful care given to Rose Mary over the last four and a half years along with Putnam County Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 4, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic with Father Steve Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow after the luncheon at 2 p.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic, as well as one hour prior to the funeral mass on Monday at St. Mary Parish Life Center, Leipsic.
Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
