Rose was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and its Rosary Altar Society as well as rosary leader, funeral helper and church cleaner. Rose volunteered at St. Rita’s in Lima, was a previous substitute school cafeteria worker and had worked at McDonalds. She was a social member of Ottawa Eagles and the Ohio Polka Boosters.

Rose was a devoted farmer’s wife to her husband, Arnold, and was often found helping him in the fields or bringing him meals. She was a competitive card player who loved singing, playing the piano, and praying her rosary. Rose and Arnie shared a deep passion for community, volunteering, polka dancing, their ReNew friend group, and joyfully watching their children and grandchildren participate in activities and sporting events. Her favorite song to sing and play on the piano for her children was “If I Had a Million Dollars, I Would Give it All to You.” Rose loved Jesus Christ and encouraged her family to develop a personal relationship with Him.
