Rose Ann (Weis) Morman

OTTAWA – Rose Ann (Weis) Morman, 85, of Ottawa, passed away at 4:06 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024. She was born April 1, 1938, in Leipsic to the late Richard and Esther (Schumaker) Weis.  On July 11, 1959, she married Cletus F. Morman, who survives in Ottawa.

Other survivors include a son, Dean Morman; two grandchildren: Rachel Morman and Brooke Morman; two siblings: Othman (Eileen) Weis and Janet (Ralph) Westrick; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Halker.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Curt Morman; and four siblings: Ursula Weis, Margaret (Delmar) Schroeder, Janelda Halker and Dennis Weis.

Rose was a homemaker, devoted wife, and caring mother of two sons. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Rose enjoyed music and excelled in playing piano, teaching her sister and many others her craft. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and baking.  Rose loved spending time with her family and cherished memories of her great family vacations.

Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
