Rosella D. "Rosie" Karhoff
GLANDORF – Rosella D. "Rosie" Karhoff, 77, of Glandorf, passed away at 7:35 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Lima Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on April 30, 1945, in Leipsic to the late Andrew B. and Marcella (Kreinbrink) Niese. On June 11, 1966, she married Harold Karhoff. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1997.
Survivors include six children: John (Carrie) Karhoff of Ottawa, Brenda (Rory) Korzan of Miamisburg, Greg (Alyssa) Karhoff, Ryan (Krista) Karhoff, both of Ottawa, Mike (Valerie) Karhoff of Republic and Ken (Katie) Karhoff of Versailles, KY; 11 grandchildren with one on the way; three sisters: Louann Dulle of Edon, Evelyn Verhoff of Ottawa and Lucille (Bill) Morman of Columbus Grove; four brothers: Arthur (Dorothy) Niese, Bill (Helen) Niese, Bernard (Florence) Niese; and a sister-in-law: Diane Niese, all of Leipsic.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Henrietta Otto; a brother, Dennis Niese and three brothers-in-law: Leo Otto, Bob Dulle and Lambert Verhoff.
Rosie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and the Altar Rosary Society. She helped with the funeral meals at the church and was a member at the Ottawa Senior Center. Rosie had worked with her husband on the farm and at Calvary Manor, Glandorf. She loved to babysit for her grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, August 12, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a rosary service will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Cancer Assistance Program.
