ROSEMARY POWELL
OTTAWA - Rosemary Powell, 74, of Ottawa died 8:40 pm, Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.  She was born December 17, 1938 in Ottawa to the late Edward and Alma (Wittler) Schnipke.  On September 8, 1962, she married Ray H. Powell and he survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are her sons, Anthony (Tana) Powell of Sylvania and Christopher (Robin) Powell of Oklahoma City, OK; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Catherine (Bob) Duling of Glandorf, Judy (Harold) Gerten of Columbus Grove, Anna (Tim) Recker of Ottawa; 6 brothers: Edward (Mary Agnes) Schnipke, Jr. of Ottawa, Frederick (Jane) Schnipke and Harold (Sandy) Schnipke both of Miller City, William (Bonnie) Schnipke and Louis (Lisa) Schnipke both of Ottawa and Thomas (Donna) Schnipke of Kalida and 2 sister-in-laws:  Janet (Ron) Brown of Miller City and Dorothy Schnipke of Ottawa.  She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Frank Schnipke and James Schnipke.
Rosemary was a secretary for the State of Ohio Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation.  She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland; member of ADG Sorority, The Indoor Sports and Wheelchair Square Dancing all in Toledo as well as a volunteer for Rescue Crisis Hotline.  Rosemary graduated from Miller City High School in 1957, attended The University of Illinois, then graduated from Toledo Business School in 1959.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
