Obituary

Rosemary Siefker

GLANDORF - Rosemary Siefker, 92, Godly woman, devoted wife, loving mother, thoughtful grandmother and great-grandmother and loyal friend passed away peacefully on January 22, 2017 surrounded by her family at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born on January 25, 1924 in Glandorf to parents Ben and Martha (Morman) Warnecke. On August 1, 1946, she married Charles Siefker who died August 18, 2005. They were married for 59 wonderful years.

Possessing a true servant's heart, Rosemary faithfully cared for family and friends through delicious meals on the farm, birthday celebrations, and an open door to all who stopped by. A woman of faith and the heart of the Siefker family, Rosemary shaped their faith by her Christian example. With a real zest for life, Mrs. Siefker loved to pray, polka dance, play cards, and enjoyed attending the numerous events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was the simple things around her in life that she never took for granted, commenting on a daily basis how blessed and thankful she was. Rosemary was a woman of faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that would await her after passing. A life well lived: our Angel who lived, laughed and loved.

Rosemary was a life-long member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf and a member of the Altar Rosary Society and Glandorf C.L. of C.

She is survived by three sons, Dale (Kari) Siefker of Leipsic, Ronald (Jean) Siefker of Glandorf, and Gregory (Dianne) Siefker of Ottawa; four daughters, Jeanne (Tom) Kreinbrink of Ottawa, Mary Ellen (Louis) Halker of Glandorf, Carol (Bob) Schram of Worthington, and Carla (Steve) Utendorf of Glandorf; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Siefker of Glandorf and Mildred Vorst of Kalida; in-laws, Helen Warnecke of Glandorf, Pat Weber of Fremont, IN, and Beatrice Hovest of Ottawa.
