WEST LEIPSIC – Rosita V. Leyja, 75 of West Leipsic died 11:33 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2026, at her residence. She was born August 24, 1951, in Edinburg, TX to the late Mariano and Maria Guadalupe (Santana) Villaneda. On January 11, 1972, she married Jaun P. Leyja and he died May 15, 2023.

Survivors include three children: Leticia Leyja, Rosemary Leyja, and Juan Leyja Jr.; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Francisco “Pancho” Villaneda.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers.

Rosita was a homemaker who loved to cook and never missed her novellas. She was a big Elvis fan. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later date.
