Russell "Dean" Chamberlin

GLANDORF - Russell "Dean" Chamberlin, 64, of Glandorf, died at 10:10 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 17, 1951 in Bluffton to the late Paul and Velma (Baker) Chamberlin. On July 11, 1975 he married Patricia Westrick who survives in Glandorf.

Also surviving are 3 children: Travis (Yadira) Chamberlin of Leipsic, Kyle (Stacey Schnipke) Chamberlin of Columbus Grove, and Carl (Shelly) Chamberlin of Baltimore, MD; 4 grandchildren: Kaleb, Kolby, Jamie, and Jordan Chamberlin; a great-grandchild: Isabella Nieto-Santana; 5 brothers: David (Marla) Chamberlin, Bob (Marge) Chamberlin, Paul (Carol) Chamberlin, and Danny (Marty) Chamberlin, all of Leipsic, and Lester Chamberlin of Arizona; and 6 sisters: Charlene Imm, Marlene (Donald) Stover, and Sue (Davey) Wilson all of Ottawa, Beth Nickolls of Moore, OK, Mary (Tom) Kistler of Pandora, and Rilla Tousley of Sidney. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Frank and Homer Chamberlin; a brother-in-law: Tom Imm; and a sister-in-law: Ursula Chamberlin.

Dean retired from Niese Leasing, Ottawa, in January 2014, after 15 years. He was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf; Ottawa Eagles; and was a life member of the Ottawa VFW.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. There will be Military Rites by the Ottawa VFW, American Legion, and AMVETS at the church following the mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a Parish Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
