Ruth A. Trissel

LANCASTER – Ruth A. Trissel, 70, of Lancaster, passed away 6:45 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022 at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born on June 23, 1952, in Barstow, CA to the late Howard and Ruth (Unterbrink) Gray.  On July 22, 2017, she married Kenneth "Ken" Leonard Trissel III, and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2021.

Survivors include one son, Keith (Amy) Diltz of Lancaster; a stepson, Brian (Susan Egelhoff) Trissel of Columbus; three grandchildren: Tyler, Emma and Jon; four step-grandchildren: Aubrey, Alice, Donovan (Layne) and Cole; a great-grandchild, Mateo; six siblings: Sandy (Dave) Schnipke of Ottawa, Jim (Steph) Gray of Continental, Bryan (Fran) Gray of Columbus Grove, Linda (Bill) Burwell of Ottawa, Tim (Angie) Gray of Pandora and John Gray of Ottawa; and a sister-in-law, Linda Gray of Ottawa.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Cotner; and a brother, Tom Gray.

Ruth was a graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School. She worked for Philips, Ottawa and R.R. Donnelley Logistics, Inc. Ruth enjoyed painting, gardening and going to the beach.  She loved spending time with her dogs, Penny and Fanny, and all of her grandchildren.

Funeral service will begin 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 21, 2022 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Rev. Denny Coates officiating.  Visitation will be held 2 - 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
