Ruth P. Schey

Leipsic -- Ruth P. Schey, 93 of Leipsic died 6:20 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at The Meadows of Leipsic surrounded by her family. She was born May 9, 1923 in Leipsic to the late Hartford and Eva (Paul) Hayzlett. On December 31, 1941 she married Max Schey who died January 16, 1998.

Ruth is survived by two children: Richard Schey of Leipsic and Dorothy Culp of Blacklick; a grandson: Charles Culp of Blacklick; and a sister: Helen Place of Orlando, FL.  She was preceded in death by two siblings: Florence Hartley and Paul Hayzlett.

Ruth worked for the Fort Wayne Telephone Company. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Leipsic and the Lutheran Women's Association.

Funeral Services will be held 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Deacon Ben Valdez officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
