Ruth Ann Schroeder LEIPSIC – Ruth Ann Schroeder, 82, of Leipsic, passed away at 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the Meadows of Ottawa.  She was born January 2, 1942, in Ottoville to the late Steve and Veronica "Fronie" (Beining) Hilvers.  On November 23, 1963, she married Richard "Dick" Schroeder, he survives in Leipsic. Ruth is also survived by two sons:  Dave Schroeder, and Dale (Lori) Schroeder, both of Leipsic; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren with one on the way; a brother: Dick (Jan) Hilvers of Ottoville; and sisters-in-law: Annette Hilvers, Jean Hilvers, Alice Hilvers, and Karen Hilvers, all of Ottoville. She is preceded in death by five brothers, John, Jim, Donald, Bob, and Tom Hilvers. Ruth worked at the Bank of Leipsic, along with helping Dick on the farm.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and its Altar Rosary.  Ruth kept the guys in the fields working and fed.  She had her CDL.  Ruth loved her garden, her flowers and mowing the grass. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Randy Giesige officiating.  Burial will take place at a later date.  A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and again on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Parish Life Center.
