LEIPSIC - Ruth A. Ellerbrock 85, of Leipsic, passed away 1:58 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Meadows of Leipsic. She was born March 3, 1931 in Lima, Oh to the late John and Amelia (Bellman) Inkrott. Ruth married Thomas F. Ellerbrock on August 20, 1952 in Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland. He died February 5, 1996.
Ruth is survived by their five children: Joan (Dennis) Schroeder of Leipsic, Mark (Tami) Ellerbrock of Leipsic, Mary Kay (Bill) Weis of Leipsic, Leo (Joan) Ellerbrock of Leipsic, and Connie (Jerry) Westrick of Miller City; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; 1 step great-grandchild; two brothers: Ralph (Edna) Inkrott and Karl (Marilyn) Inkrott both of Leipsic; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth is also predeceased by a sister: Mary Konst.
Ruth was a longtime homemaker who enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leipsic and the parish Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Rosary Altar Society.
Mass of Christian burial will begin 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Reverend William Pifher officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic where a rosary and C L of C service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service, Friday in the Parish Life Center at St. Mary's Church, Leipsic.
Memorial donations may be made to Bridge Hospice or St. Mary's Parish Life Center.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at The Meadows of Leipsic, Bridge Hospice caregivers and all others who offered help and support to Ruth and her family.
