PANDORA - Ruth Lammers Alt, 71, of Pandora, went to heaven on March 29, 2014 after a brief illness in Hemet, CA.  She was born in Miller City on June 12, 1942 to the late Rudolph and Alberta Lammers and married Arthur (Junior) Alt on July 11, 1964, and have celebrated 49 wonderful years together.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Junior; children Brad and Julie Alt of Pandora and their children, Nicole and Ashley; Shelly and Larry Napolitan of Cleveland and children, Jacob, Emma and Ben; Kim Baldwin of Ottawa and children Jamie and Kelsey;  and Bruce and Stacy Alt of Glandorf and children Jordan and Ethan; Her siblings Marilyn (Karl) Inkrott of Miller City, Betty (Bob, deceased) Recker of New Riegel, Robert Lammers of Chicago, Dorothy (Elmer) Meyer of Miller City, Paul (Barb) Lammers of Chelsea, MI, Bill (Mary) Lammers of Defiance, Nick (Jane) Lammers of Chicago, Sr. Joanne Lammers of Tiffin and dear family friend Sr. Sara Aldridge of Tiffin.
Ruth graduated from Miller City High School and St. Rita's School of Nursing.  Her career included nursing at Findlay Hospital, the Sylvania plant in Ottawa, and Pandora Family Medical Center where the doctors said Ruth had one speed: FAST.
Ruth found great joy with her grandchildren, spending special times, daily texting, and cheering them through sports and special interests. Ruth spent many, countless hours on Lake Erie and loved fishing with family and friends, camping, playing cards, bowling and playing shuffleboard in California.  She and Jr. became quite handy with their sticks and loved a friendly competitive game.
Ruth was compassionate, loving, kind, and fun loving, always ready to provide hospitality and a good time for family and friends.  Her gift was turning every event into a party, loving to sing and dance.  She was a person of deep faith, ready to meet her God, saying "I want whatever God wills".
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter and Paul Church in Ottawa on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Matt Jozefiak, Deacon Jim Rump and Deacon Don Inkrott officiating.
