Ruth H. Quinn
GLANDORF – Ruth H. Quinn, 96, of Glandorf, passed away at 9:10 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born July 15, 1929, in Ottawa to the late Henry and Ruth (Wilson) Stover. On August 9, 1952, she married Richard “Dick” Quinn, who preceded her in death on September 5, 2009.
Survivors include three daughters: Anita (Ray) McCandless of Findlay, Cheryl Klausing of Lima and Lisa (Al) Hueve of Glandorf; a daughter-in-law, Linda Quinn of Glandorf; six grandchildren:, Aaron Klausing, Ross Quinn, Alyssa Schnipke, Matthew Quinn, Eric (Treacy) Hueve and Adam (Carly) Hueve; ten great-grandchildren; Olivia, Hannah, Katie, Caleb, Chloe, Christian, Delaney, Cora, Blake and Madden with one more on the way; and three siblings: Jim Stover of Reno, NV, Nancy (Dean) Begg of Columbus Grove and Glenda Geckle of Ottawa.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons: Richard “Rick” Quinn and Infant Ronald Quinn; granddaughter, Allison Dye; grandson-in-law, Travis Schnipke; sister-in-law, Joyce Stover; and brother-in-law, Dan Geckle.
Ruth was a homemaker. She also formerly worked for Kersh Insurance, Lima Tank Plant, an Army Base in Kansas City while Dick was in the service, and the Hollywood Theater for Theodore Chifos in 1934. Ruth was also a charter member of the Friends of the Putnam County District Library and volunteered for the Board of Elections for many years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and loved baking, especially making Christmas cookies for her family, friends and neighbors.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026 prior to Mass at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Putnam County District Library.
