RuthAnn Pauline Johnson

LEIPSIC – RuthAnn P. Johnson, of Leipsic, died at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 06, 2021 at the Meadows of Leipsic.  She was born September 11, 1939 to the late Victor and Lauretta (Warnecke) Schroeder.  On July 8, 1959 she married John A. Kemper, he preceded her in death on August 15, 1993.  She then married Larry Johnson on August 23, 1997, he also preceded her in death on September 18, 2020.

RuthAnn is survived by three children: Annette (Darrell) Hanf of Huber Heights, Joanie (Leo) Ellerbrock of Leipsic, and Christine (Brett) Baumgardner of Elida; a stepson: Kerry (Joslyn) Johnson of Ottawa; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Mary Kay (Paul) Quint of Pandora and Janis (Lou) Schroeder of Bluffton, IN.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Norbert and Eugene Schroeder.

A graduate of Leipsic High School, RuthAnn had worked in a CPA office and was also a homemaker.   She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Leipsic Eagles Auxiliary.  She was an avid reader, loved to do puzzles and was a dog lover.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Father William Pifher and Pastor Tim Eding officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.  In keeping with the social distancing guidelines, a visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.  Masks will be required upon entering the funeral home and church.
