Ryan D. "Clemy" Cleemput

OTTAWA – Ryan D. "Clemy" Cleemput, 47, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at his residence due to illness. He was born November 29, 1976, in Lima to William and Connie (Sarka) Cleemput. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Ottawa.

He is also survived by three brothers: Jeff (Amy) Cleemput, Greg (Terry) Cleemput and Mark (Megan) Cleemput; four nephews: Ben Cleemput, Nick Cleemput, Brantley Cleemput and Grayson Cleemput; two nieces: Sarah Selhorst and Mandalyn Cleemput; and two great-nephews: Carter Selhorst and Owen Selhorst.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Ryan was previously employed by Cooper Tire for 18 years. He truly enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, fishing, sporting events, snowmobiling, riding four-wheelers and kayaking down the river. Ryan was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed collecting memorabilia and had a true passion for nostalgia.

Funeral Mass will begin 10:00 a.m. on Thursday,  August 1, 2024 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow at St. Isidore Cemetery, Cuba. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.

Monetary donations will be used by the family for a memorial at the park.
