Sandra M. Stos
Ottawa – Sandra M. Stos, 62, of Ottawa died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at her residence. She was born May 27, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Columbus Orley and Dorothy Mae (Delk) Gore. On June 13, 1970, she married John Stos who survives in Ottawa.
Sandra is also survived by her children: Victoria Lynn (Nick) Krukowski of Ottawa and John Stos II of Virginia Beach, VA; 5 grandchildren: Andrew, Joshua and Emily Krukowski, Calvin and Clyde Stos; a sister: Brenda Sue Klenke of Columbus; and a brother: Duane Gore of East Pointe, MI. She is preceded in death by a daughter: Leslie Marie Stos; 2 brothers: Ronald Gore and Dale Gore; and her stepfather: Marvin Falk.
Sandra was an executive secretary for Kelly Services in Michigan and a homemaker. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa; Vietnam Veterans of America; and Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus in Oxford, Mi where she was secretary. She was a loving, faithful wife of 42 years who loved her children and grandchildren and was a good friend. She enjoyed sewing, reading and watercolor painting and had a few paintings left to finish. She liked sudoku puzzles and her grandchildren would always talk to her while she worked on them. Sandra taught them about their heritage. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and basketball and baseball coach.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Fr. Alfons Minja officiating. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ottawa. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
