Sara Elizabeth Ruhe

OTTAWA – Sara Elizabeth Ruhe, 72, of Ottawa passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born September 13, 1953, in Lima to the late Robert A. and Mary Rose (Leahy) Fawcett, Sr. She was formerly married to Allen Ruhe.

Sara is survived by a daughter: Kari Morgan; granddaughter: Maci Morgan; siblings: Robert (Brenda) Fawcett, Jr., and Christine (William) Moore; four nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends and recent caretakers: Linda Drerup and Michael Luttfring.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Gail Anne Fawcett.

Sara graduated from Ottawa-Glandorf High School. She obtained her bachelor’s degree at Bluffton University and taught at several local schools. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. Sara’s family expresses their appreciation and a sincere thank you to the staff of the Meadows of Ottawa and the transportation unit of the Putnam County EMS for their professionalism and caring treatment of Sara.
