Scott Allen Moorhead

LEIPSIC – Scott Allen Moorhead, 83, of Leipsic, passed away at 8:35 a.m., Sunday, December 24, 2023 at The Meadows of Ottawa.  He was born June 11, 1940, in Findlay to the late George and Jean (Galloway) Moorhead.  On August 12, 1967, he married Barbara Utendorf, who preceded him in death on April 6, 2023.

Survivors include two sons: Jeffrey Moorhead of CA and David (Angela) Moorhead of Livonia, MI; three grandchildren; a brother, George (Susan) Moorhead of McComb; a nephew, Eric (Liz) Moorhead of Findlay and their children, Micah Moorhead, Emma Moorhead and Connor Ebanks; and a niece, Chelsea (Bud) Haselman of Ottawa and their children, Asher, Titus, Ezri and Theo Haselman.

Scott retired in 2008 as a Grain Elevator Manager for Land of Lakes. He had also worked for the Leipsic Fire Department for 24 years and Leipsic Council for 16 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.  Scott enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral Mass will begin 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. John Stites officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary's Parish Life Center, Leipsic.
