Serge E. Ladd

WEST LEIPSIC – Serge E. Ladd, 91, of West Leipsic, died at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.  He was born September 23, 1929 in West Leipsic to the late Serge N. and Marie (Hittle) Ladd.  On May 10, 1958 he married Doris J. Chamberlin, she preceded him in death on March 22, 2019.

Serge is survived by two children: Rebecca (Randy) Agner and Lance Ladd, both of Leipsic; and two grandchildren: Erika (John Vorhes) Agner of Lima and Kevin Agner of Leipsic; a brother-in-law: Dale (Carol) Chamberlin of Milford; and several nieces and nephews.

He is also preceded in death by a sister:  Norma Jean Rohrs; two brothers: Donnie Ladd and Robert Ladd.

Serge had served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He worked as a Railroad Signalman.  He was a member of the Leipsic VFW and American Legion, as well as the Leipsic Fishing and Hunting Association.  Serge enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.  He loved to go hunting with his dog Mitzi.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Tim Eding officiating.  Burial will follow at Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic with military rites by the Leipsic VFW, Leipsic American Legion and the DAV.   A visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday one hour prior to the funeral service.
