Sgt. Jaden R. Nuveman
MILLER CITY – Sgt. Jaden R. Nuveman, HHC, 1st BN, 27th IN REG, 2nd IBCT, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, Mortarman, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025. He was born July 1, 2004, in Lima to Dustin Nuveman of Ottawa and Jamie (Averesch) Nuveman of Miller City.
He is also survived by three siblings: Jalynne (Alic) Dutton of Dunkirk, Jaleigh (Ashton Thome) Nuveman and Lincoln Nuveman, both of Miller City; nephews: Ryker Dutton, River Dutton, and Kayin Thome (on the way); paternal grandparents: Dean (Jayne) Nuveman of Leipsic and Deborah (Don Pierman) Nuveman of Ottawa; maternal grandparents: Norm (Ann) Averesch of Miller City, and Pauline Averesch of Port Charlotte, FL; uncles and aunts: Dana (John) Goble, Jody (Ashley) Carmony, Stacey (Brian) Rodgers, Raymond (Nicole) Averesch, Regina (Benny) Camareno, and Amanda (Anna) Vasquez; 16 cousins; many other family and best friends: Austin Ruhe and Caleb Warnimont.
Jaden cherished his family above all else and enjoyed sharing adventures with them. A 2022 graduate of Miller City High School, Jaden was passionate about basketball and loved playing the game alongside his closest friends. He was known for his contagious smile and kind heart, which brought warmth and happiness to everyone around him. In his free time, Jaden found joy in fishing, staying active through workouts, and taking part in running marathons.
Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2025, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Msgr. Charles Singler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with his nephew's future education fund c/o: Jamie Nuveman through Huntington Bank, Ottawa.
