Sharon Kay Rice

OTTAWA - Sharon Kay Rice, 76, died on Sunday December 27, 2020 at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR. She was born December 19,1944. She was married to Dale Edward Rice who preceded her in death.

Sharon is survived by 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Sharon was a former activities coordinator at Lima Manor Nursing Home and founder of Grampy's House (a non-profit visitation exchange center for children) in Lima, OH. She loved to cook, read James Patterson novels, pass on her knowledge to her great-grandchildren, and watch Elvis movies. Sharon will always be remembered for her generosity, loving nature, kindness, and most of all being known as Gram to everyone she knew. Her favorite saying was, "it's a great life if you don't weaken."

Graveside funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9th, 2021 at Harmon Cemetery in Gilboa OH with Pastor Denny Coates officiating.  Masks are required at the cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Malvern Police Department Haunted House fund in Malvern, AR.
