Sharon J. Knippen

OTTOVILLE - Sharon J. Knippen, 81, of Ottoville died 6:45 a.m. Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her residence.  She was born November 18, 1939 in Putnam County to the late Herbert and Jenny "Jane" (Bowersock) Plescher.  On August 9, 1955 she married James J. Knippen, who died July 17, 1990.

Sharon is survived by 9 children:  Roger "Joe" (Pat) Knippen of Wapak, Rick "Mase" (Shannon) Knippen of Ottoville, Robb (Jill) Knippen of Fort Jennings, Tim Knippen of Ottawa, Shirley Patterson of Van Wert, Jayne Knippen Minnig of Ottoville, Kassie (John) Sarka of Ottoville, Ortha (Bill) Lanoue of Angola, IN and Olivia (David) Maag of Prosper, TX; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and a brother:  Mike Plescher.

She is preceded in death by 2 brothers:  Terry Plescher and John Plescher and a sister:  Joan Hartnett.

Sharon retired from Schnipke Engraving, Ottoville and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.  She was a member of the C.L. of C., Ottoville.  She loved to spend time at the lake with her family.

The Knippen family will hold a private burial Saturday, January 2, 2021.  The arrangements are by the LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
