Sharon A. Lammers

LEIPSIC – Sharon A. Lammers, 78, of Leipsic, passed away at 5:05 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born August 16, 1946, in Defiance to the late Paul J. and Alberta Ann (Gustwiller) Wenzinger. On January 30, 1965, she married Donald Lammers, who survives in Leipsic.

Other survivors include four children: Michael (Deborah) Lammers of Leipsic, Mark (Jodi) Lammers of Miller City, Christine (Rodney) Rader of Deshler and Jenny (Ed) Siler of Englewood, FL; eleven grandchildren: Austin (Kazee) Lammers, Haley (Jacob) Gerten, Rusty (Kirsten) Lammers, Ali (Ross) Ellerbrock, Jackson (Kasey) Lammers, Grace (Logan) Norden, Hope (Chase) Wright, Dillon Rader, Faith (Reed) Hovest, Maggie Siler and Brady Siler; eleven great-grandchildren: Lainey Jo Lammers, Hattie Lynn Lammers, Julian John Gerten, Kempton Charles Gerten, Griffin Lammers, Liam Lammers, Maren Wright, Carl Wright, Henry Hovest, Stetson Hovest, Hazel Hovest and two on the way; and four siblings: Richard H. (Irene) Wenzinger of Miller City, Diane (Gary) Maag of Kalida, Brenda (Clyde) Vennekotter of Continental and Lynette Ordaz of Leipsic.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two grandsons: Jonah Rader and Noah Siler; and a sister, Marlene (Ron) McKibben.

Sharon was a former secretary for the Putnam County Right to Life and member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland. Sharon was an avid baker and was well known for her pies and homemade bread. She loved being a grandma and enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports.

Funeral Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with Fr. George Wenzinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the Mass at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
