Simona (Bermea) Rodriguez

LEIPSIC – Simona (Bermea) Rodriguez, 89, of Leipsic died at 4:04 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at her daughter's residence. She was born November 8, 1929 in Eagle Lake, TX to the late Dennis and Margaret (Martinez) Bermea. On May 6, 1945 she married George Rodriguez who died April 7, 1997.

She is survived by 10 children, Gloria Salinas of Leipsic, Lorenza Gutierrez of Leipsic, George (Lynette) Rodriguez, Jr. of Plano, TX, Stella (Juan) Martinez of Leipsic, Jesse (Irma) Rodriguez of Leipsic, Elidia (Rey) DeLeon of South Haven, MI, Harry (Sarah) Rodriguez of Cecil, Ruben (Pam) Rodriguez of Leipsic, Deb (Jason) Oliver of Findlay, and Laura (Mark) Pedroza of Leipsic; 36 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ernestina Rodriguez, 4 brothers; 4 sisters; and a son-in-law, Juan Gutierrez.

Simona was a homemaker.  She was a very active member of the Church of the Nazarene in Leipsic for over 60 years.

A Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Church of the Nazarene in Leipsic with her grandson, Pastor Joshua Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene, Leipsic.
