Stephen A. Sterling, Sr.

DUPONT - Stephen A. Sterling, Sr., 61,  of Dupont died at 9:14 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at St. Rita's Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. He was born July 28, 1955 in Lima to Charles Sterling and Katherine (Hariff) Gay. His father is deceased, his mother survives in Lima.

Also surviving is his significant other, Bonnie Schilt; five children, Jamie (Joshua) Miller of Columbus Grove, Stephanie (Jerry) Jenkins of Lima, Stephen (Claudia) Sterling, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Joshua (Stacy) Sterling of Dupont, and Andrea (William) Branham of Dupont; three step children, Jason (Mindy Diller) Rue of Ayersville, Annette Hoeffel of Continental, and Joel (Kimberly) Rue of Continental; seventeen grandchildren; three brothers, Mark Sterling, Mike Sterling, and Gerald Gay; and four sisters, Mary Mundy, Rebecca Workman, Paula Gay, and Janet Gay.

Stephen worked at Yanfeng Automotive in Bryan. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Stephen was a lover of Eagles and Huskies.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Rev. Jim States officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Dupont. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home in Oakwood. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
