Steven "Grover" Grove

OAKWOOD – Steven "Grover" Grove, 62, of Oakwood, went home to be with the Lord at 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at the CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance.  He was born September 10, 1959, in Defiance to the late Edmund and Dorothy (Moser) Grove.  On June 25, 1988, he married Debbie Thomas, who survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Hillary (Louis Wannemacher) Grove of Cecil; a stepdaughter, Jodi (James) Lucas of North Carolina; 2 sisters, Debra (Bruce) Miller of Oakwood and Jane (Kip) Gochenour of Paulding; and 5 grandchildren:  Xavier Lucas of Oakwood, Cheyanne Lucas of Paulding, Liberty and Cadance Lucas of North Carolina and Steven's buddy, Owen Soto of Cecil.

Steven is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Lucas and his father-in-law and mother-in-law:  Chet and Lois Thomas.

Steven enjoyed his Harley's and guns, but his greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

The funeral service for Steven will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor Tony Gonzales officiating.  The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.  Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
