Susan C. Stevens
Ottawa - Susan C. Stevens, 66, of Ottawa died 8:10 a.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She was born January 23, 1948 in Van Wert to the late Donald and Ruth (Williams) Wolverton. On May 31, 1980, she married Melvin M. Stevens. He died June 20, 1987.
Susan is survived by her 4 daughters: Lisa (Geoffrey) Waddles of Wren; Angie (David) Foss of Van Wert; Michele (Mitch) Bennett of Grover Hill and Annie (David) Roof of Ottawa; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and 3 sisters: Gerald Wolverton of Ottawa; Marilyn (Larry) Middleton of Demotte, IN; Donald (Priscilla) Wolverton of Leipsic; Janet (Jim) Schnipke of Miller City; Randy (Victoria) Wolverton of Convoy and Elizabeth (Ken) Simindinger of Cloverdale. She is preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Joyce Wolverton.
Susan retired from Putnam Acres Care Center as an LPN. She was a member of the Lima Baptist Temple. She loved her family and they were most important part of her life. She loved Elvis and was an avid collector of Elvis memorabilia. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, shopping and the company of her pets.
A funeral service will begin 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Pastor Jerry Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Harman Cemetery, Gilboa. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the charity of donor's choice.
