Sylvia Lillian Rettig
WEST LEIPSIC – Sylvia Lillian Rettig, 90, of West Leipsic, died at 4:28 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at The Meadows of Leipsic  Ohio.  She was born January 29, 1924, in Austintown, OH  to the late Wayne and Hatti (Maw) Brooks.  In 1942, she married Ralph Dale Rettig and he died December 8, 1984.
Sylvia is survives by 3 children: Dottie Holy of Wauseon, Donnie Rettig of West Leipsic and Roger (Lou) Rettig of Continental; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and a brother: Jim (Eddie) Brooks of Leipsic.  She was preceded in death also by a daughter:  Bonnie Rettig; 7 brothers: Herbert, Lowell, Clyde, Paul, George, Tippy, Clarence; 2 sisters:  Mabel and Ellie
Sylvia retired from the former Sylvania Electric of Ottawa. She was a member of the Leipsic VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching wrestling on TV and loved butterflies and flowers. She was beloved by her family and friends and the family would like to invite all to visitation to reminisce.
A funeral  service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic with Rev. Tom Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and one hour prior to service on Saturday.
